Youth Ministries

St. Paul’s Church has been joined by Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and St. David’s Anglican Church in sponsoring two church school programs for area youth.

D.U.C.K.Y

The D.U.C.KY. (Durant United Churches Kids and Youth) Program is designed for all community children from Pre-school (4 yrs.) through 6th grade. DUCKY meets for two, ten week sessions. The fall semester begins in September and concludes with

a Christmas Program in early December. The spring semester begins in January and finishes with a program the last week of March. Each session joins the children together for music, a light evening meal, Bible lessons and prayer.

DUCKY meets Wednesday nights at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church from 5:30 – 7:00 P.M.

Members of all three churches join together to serve as teachers, preparing food for the meals, kitchen help for serving meals and the numerous other jobs necessary to sponsor such programs

fisH

The fisH (faith in serving Him) program is designed for all community young people from 7th grade through 12th grade. fisH usually meets twice a month at the Durant Community Center. These meetings are held on the first and third Wednesday nights of each month at 7:00 P.M. Meetings consist of Bible study, prayer, and social activities.

The fisH program sponsors and is very active in community service. The year’s program culminates with a thirty hour famine.
